Beijing Opera Tickets
The show takes place in the Liyuan Theatre, at the very heart of the Xuanwu district, close to Tiananmen Square. In this oldest of neighbourhoods, where thousands of working class people live, is where the Beijing national opera was born.
During the hour and fifteen minute show, you'll discover one of the most emblematic types of Chinese art, with a unique style you can only find in Beijing.
Music, hymns, charismatic characters, acrobatic fight scenes and unusual costumes will transport you into a fully realised fantasy world in the Chinese capital.
We offer two different types of ticket, recommended (the most popular, with great visibility, at the back of the theatre), and premium, which not only gives you premium seating close to the stage, but also includes a traditional tea and snack.
Take a look at the following seating layout to see exactly where the seats are located. The red seats are the premium seats, and the ones that say "normal" are the recommended tickets.
Children under 4 feet (1 metre 20) may not attend the theatre, as the show is not appropriate for such young children.
Children over 4 feet (1 metre 20) should pay adult price
